Happo One / △310cm / Snowy & Sunny 2019.Apr.09

19040901_happoWe got snow for four nights in a row until Apr.3 (Wed). Then, it was warm over the weekend, however, it’s got chilly again since last afternoon. We also got snow at the upper area last night! About 30 cm of wet fresh snow lied on the starting area of Usagidaira. All lifts in the upper area, including Usagidaira and Skyline, were suspended in the morning due to the strong wind.

19040902_happo“The leading group” headed for the northern slope along Kurobishi No.3 Pair as they got off Alpen Quad, which started working at 10:03 a.m. The non-compacted,  even, firm steep slope was covered with about 10 cm of soft fresh snow, which was great to try.

19040903_happoThere was about 40 cm of fresh snow at the deepest point on the bumpy slope at Usagidaira and the area under Alpen Quad Lift. The fresh snow gradually got heavy as the sunshine rayed through clouds and the temperature rose. Sodeguro, which was covered with approximately 10 cm of fresh snow, was crowded and already rough around 10:30 a.m.

19040904_happoIn the early morning, Panorama Course was covered with 3-5 cm of firm granular snow. Meanwhile, the fresh snow and the shaved snow was well-mixed and soft around 9 a.m. at Riesen Slalom Course. The slope got granular as I entered into the middle area.
