Happo One / ◎310cm / Sunny2019.Mar.18
There was a high pressure above the mountains, so the temperature rose up higher and higher with a strong sunshine. The sliders came earlier, so there were a lot of people like on weekends at the top of the slopes. There were also climbers heading to Mt. Karamatsu, skiers and snowboarders for back county.

The amount of fresh snow from the daytime to midnight yesterday was about 20cm. The powdered snow in the compacted are had been compacted well and there were soft fresh snow in the non-compacted area. Three sliders from Hakuba Village said, “We always read your reports! We came here before works because it’s so sunny!”

There was an artificial snow area at the early stage of Usagidaira Slope and after that, there was compacted powderd snow areas. It was good to slide down on big moguls of the non-compacted burn (photo) along Alpine quad lift with 10cm fresh snow.

The condition of snow was not powdered but it was still good in Panorama Course. And, there were many big moguls in Central Course. By the way, the amount of snow is now 310cm, the same level as 345cm of last year and 315cm of two years ago on the top of Happo.
