Happo One / ◎310cm / Sunny2019.Mar.15

19031501_happoHeavy snowfall until yesterday was groomed beautifully and the slope was in perfect powder snow condition at the groomed area of Usagidaira. I was excited as I started to ski because of comfortable feeling coming from the skis. The cold wind was blowing from the west and I thought that it was good to wear same layering as in January and February.

19031502_happoFresh snow on the non-groomed steep slope along Kurobishi 3 (photo) was fluffy though it was pressed by the wind. The advanced riders were slid down with speed and sent up a spray of snow. Shortly after this, URAKURO was opened and some riders were entered there.

19031503_happoThe powder snow was groomed nicely from along Kurobishi Quad to Skyline Course and Kitaone 3 and it was very comfortable to ski. There were only few people at the south of Sakka. In the early morning, the slope was groomed nicely soft and in good condition.

19031504_happoThe groomed slopes of the ski area were all in good condition this morning but I saw many people were riding on the non-groomed areas in the middle to upper part of the ski area. Riesen Grat, which was closed for the day yesterday, was covered with fresh snow and people were waiting the lift to open.
