It was comfortable with high-clouds and high-temperature. On the groomed steep slope along Alpain quad lift, general visitors couldn’t slide down because some players were training for ‘the 56th All Japan Skiing Skills Competition’. The south of Usagidaira had been groomed with fine granular snow. It was compacted well in the early morning and became a little bit muddy around 9:30.

By the way, we have ‘FREERIDE SNOWBOARD CAMP 2019’ yesterday and today. You can have a lesson from Sayaka Kato (the third from the right in the photo), the champion of Japan Freeride Open 2018, and Yuki Furihata (the forth from the right), a athelete of half pipe in Sochi Olympics.

We could slide down in some area of slopes listening to the know-how about using gaps and banks in the courses, how to slide from the proffesional snowborders. All particitants enjoyed it talking with the proffesional riders. And, we will have the same camp again in March.

In Riesen Slalom Course, fine granular snow was compacted well in the early morning. We could speed up as the snow became softer then at the early stage. We are going to have ‘the 73th Riesen Slalom Competition’ here on Feb. 28th (Thu.) and Mar. 1st (Fri.).
