It was warm in the day time yesterday but it rained from the evening to the night. After that, the temperature went down rapidly and trees in the middle and upper area of slopes were covered with beautiful hoarfrost this morning because of a low atmospheric pressure. Dried snow was flitting with a cold west wind, so my hands holding a camera were numb and pained.

Panorama Course had been groomed and gases rised and cleared up repeatedly. At frist, we expected the ground was icy but it was soft thanks to the fresh snow in the early morning. We could turn as we like when the vision opened up despite some hard ground.

Usagidaira and Kurobishi Slope were covered with thick gas for a long time, but it sometimes cleared up. There was about 15cm fresh powdered snow on the icy ground in the non-groomed steep slope along Kurobishi the 3rd pair lift and Alpen quadmlift(photo). The conditions were not so good but a lot of people, including foreigners, came into Usagidaira Slope one after another.

In Olympic Course Ⅱ, edges were easy to slip because the groomed ground was hard and there was not so much snow. Sakka Slope had been groomed and hard, but there was some fresh snow as a cushion.
