Happo One / ◎250cm / Cloudy2019.Feb.06
It was very cloudy as low air pressure developed in the southern coast. There was a gentle wind blowing, however, it was not chilly at the upper area. The first half steep part of Riesen Grat Course was compacted and nicely firm. On the other hand, the second half gentle part was non-compacted and hard. There were some small moguls and my ski edges sometimes slipped out.
[Riesen Grat Course]
Fine granular snow was firm at the southern area of Usagidaira and the area along Kurobishi No.2 Quad, which were well-groomed. My ski edges cut into the snow well and I enjoyed making turns as I liked. I saw many advanced skiers going down the slope with speed in the early morning.
[Usagidaira Slope]
I could make the turns easily at well groomed and nicely firm Panorama Course and Central Course. I saw many senior citizens at Usagidaira maybe because “Senior Play with Snow ~Ski Holiday Happo 2019” will be held for three days from Feb.6 (Wed) to Feb.8 (Fri)..
[Riesen Grat Course]
Some skiers/snowboarders were practicing hard by themselves, while some were taking lessons on the firm Shirakaba Slope. All slopes except for Riesen Grat were covered with fine granular snow this morning.
