Happo One / ○90cm / Snowy2018.Dec.27

18122701_happoDry snowflakes were falling heavily when I got off Gondola. However, the amount of fresh snow was 2–3 cm yet at Usagidaira as it started to snow from the early morning. Snow surface was unclear because of the fog and many people slowed down.

18122702_happoAbout 2 cm of fresh snow lied on the compacted area of the southern Usagidaira, which was nicely firm. The layer of snow was thin at some parts, however, it was nice overall. “Hi, Snownavi. We always enjoy your reports!”, three people from Shizuoka Prefecture told me. Visibility got clear when I was talking with them, however, it was re-shrouded in the fog after a while.

18122703_happoThe area along Kurobishi Quad, which was groomed wide and flat, was nicely firm. It was shrouded in the fog too, however, the snow surface was more visible when I went down maybe because of the slope facing direction.

18122704_happoSkyline Course was also shrouded in the fog all day. There was snow of quality on the starting and middle area, while some bushes appeared at last area, which was granularly hard. Panorama Course and the area along Kurobishi Quad were crowded and I saw many advanced skiers/snowboarders using Kurobishi Quad.
