Happo One / 〇120cm / Sunny2018.Dec.21
I was worried about this winter until last week. However, the upper and middle area of the slope has got a middle winter-like atmosphere due to the snow over the last four nights following the heavy snow on Dec.14 (Fri). Meanwhile, there was just 15~20cm of snow at the foot, including Nakiyama, Shirakaba and Sakka. The difference in the snow amount is getting big between the upper and lower area.

Both sides of Kurobishi No.2 Quad (about 1/3 of the slope) was compacted and nicely firm with powder snow. I saw advanced skiers and snowboarders sliding in an arch. We did not have snow yesterday, however, the non-compacted area was dry in nice condition.

By the way, Skyline Course opened today from 10 am. All of the five courses are now open and Happo is “almost all available”. Sakka Kitaone Quad from the foot started operation today in addition to Gondola and Kokusai No.1 Pair.

“It’s weekday but I took the day off and came because I couldn’t wait. It’s great to have such nice weather and quality of snow. I’m looking forward to the first track at Skyline Course, which will be available later.”, a skier coming from Tokyo said.
