Happo One / ×15cm / Snowy & Sunny2018.Dec.10

18121001_happoWe had light snow at Usagidaira as of 7:30 am, with the temperature at -5 ℃ . The weather was improving and the clouds on the side of the Northern Alps gradually cleared after I started the interview.  Blue sky also appeared in the west.  The snow was dry and there was about 7~8 cm of snow in front of Usagidaira Terrace.

18121002_happo An up-to-date artificial snowmaking machine, which was introduced this season, was under full operation at Riesen Slalom Course.  Fine mist turned to snow in the air and landed, lit up by the morning sunshine.  The snow laid about 20~25 cm deep around there, which was really firm. I only sank a few centimeters in the snow at some parts even though I stepped on.

18121003_happoBy the way, there are 15 snow making machines at Riesen now. 13 of them are fan type (shown in the photo), while 2 of them are stick type.  They were working even past 9 am this morning, making a roaring sound.  Riesen is going to open on Dec. 15 (Sat), if everything goes well.

18121004_happoThe amount of natural snow was about 7~8cm at Panorama Course.  Snowmaking machines were not working there, stopped earlier than the ones at Risen. There was over 15 cm of artificial snow around there. The bottom part was already getting firm, which would stay for a long time.
