Happo-one / ◎340cm / Snowy2018.Mar.20

18032001_happoThe snowfall at last! Actually, it was raining at JR Hakuba Station, sleeting at the gondola base station and snowing at the gondola summit station. At the upper part of the ski area, 15cm of the fresh wet snow covered the non-groomed area. Anyway, we were really glad for the fresh snow. Two people from Australia were also excited.

18032002_happoAlthough the wind blew weakly, I didn’t feel cold, because the temperature was high. Corn snow was moderately firm at the groomed area of Usagidaira. There were 5-8 cm of the fresh snow. It was difficult for beginners and intermediate riders to make turns, but the advanced riders skied well without stopping.

18032003_happoAround 9:00 a.m., there were many ski tracks on Panorama and Riesen Slalom. There the corn snow and the fresh snow were mixed and became rough. When I skied down to Usuba I was under the clouds and the snow turned into sleet. The slope was wet and skis were not running well.

18032004_happo“Cha Cha” at the 2nd floor of Usagidaira Terrace is famous for Sanzoku-yaki Ramen (on photo, 1280 yen ); Sanzoku-yaki (fried chicken) matches the light soup based on soy source. It was popular among international visitors. On the others hand, Miso Ramen (980yen) has rich taste soup based on pork.
