It got cold again and snow fell with wind from last night to this morning. The middle to upper part of the ski area was covered with rime. Contrary to the weather forecast, snow fluttered and it was cloudy, this morning.

The upper part of Usagidaira, Kurobishi and Riesen Grat were were covered with fog. The groomed part of Usagidaira was hard, but it was maintained well, so it was in good condition to ski. I had to ski carefully at the beginning, but many people skied fast from the middle to the end.

Although both Panorama and Riesen Slalom were hard, but both of them were also maintained well and the visibility was good, therefore, the slope was crowded. Although I was worried about the influences by the warmth on the day before yesterday and yesterday’s rain, the condition of the ski slope was better than I had expected.

In this season, the difference of the snowfall between the upper part and the bottom part was bigger than other years. In addition, the difference seems to get much bigger because of twice spring storms in March. According to the official announcement, the snowfall at the upper was 375cm; it was more than last year by 5cm. And the snowfall at the bottom part was 95cm: it was less than last year by 65cm. When I skied down, the surface of snow got softer from the bottom part of Central.
