We had an ideal day for riding! Northern Alps were covered with clouds, however, we could see the peaks of Mt. Amakazari, Hiuchi and Myoko in the west clearly. The gondola was open as scheduled, but Alpen Quad was suspended the operation because of removing snow and safety check this morning.

“I always enjoy your reports! This is the first time for me to see you in these 30 years!”, a man from Kyoto said to me. The strong wind in the last night had stopped already and it was blowing just a weak wind. The amount of the fresh snow in the upper areas was only around 10 cm.

The groomed slopes were in amazing condition! They were nicely firm and the edges worked well. Every time I turned, the snow spray was raised lightly. The slope of Panorama Course got a lot of ski tracks soon, because many people who waited for Alpen Quad moved there.

While I skied down to Central Course and Shirakaba, the snow condition was still good. I met 5 people from Osaka and they said, “Finally, I find you after 7 years! We always enjoy your reports!!”
