Happo-one / ◎410cm / Snowy2018.Feb.12

18021201_happoIt has been snowing this morning since last night. It’s first time to have more than 400 cm that was officially announced since Feb 7 (Wed). The fog covered the area and cold west wind was blowing which hurt my face. The operation of Alpen Quad was delayed, so I skied Panorama Course which covered with 20 cm of soft fresh snow.

18021202_happoI was headed to Skyline Course from Sakka Kitaone Quad. The fresh snow was 40 cm at the deepest point, which showed me how much it snowed last night. Visitors were shouting with joy from here and there.

18021203_happo4 visitors from Tokyo, Kanagawa and Hyogo talked to me “Love Happo!”. They said they got together here and have fully enjoyed skiing for 3 days in a row. They skied down with beautiful turns after taking photos.

18021204_happoSouth slopes in Skyline course was designed area where you can do “SKIMO” and hike up with putting a sticker on your skies. There are some signs (photo) on the route and you can hike up about 1.5 m around the sign. If you want to try it, you need to fill out an acceptance letter and buy a SKIMO card (200 yen for sticker) besides a lift ticket.
