In this morning, the wind finally stopped although it had blew for 5 days since Dec 26 (Tue). The Gondola began working at 7:30 a.m. and Alpen Quad started at 7:45 a.m. (the scheduled time until Jan 3 (Wed)). Many visitors came here after they skied down Riesen in the early morning. The beautiful ski tracks were drawn on the firm and flat slope.

“The first customers at Kurobishi ” were from Osaka and gave me the watchword, “We always enjoy your reports!” Furthermore, “the first customers at Usagidaira” talked to us as well. The slope was groomed widely and along Kurobishi No2 Quad, the powdery snow was firm and amazing!

The slope at Skyline Course was in good condition, same as the groomed slope at Usagidaira and Kurobishi. At 8:00 a.m. right after the winter solstice, although the picture taken in this cloudy morning are dark, in actual, the visibility was clear and I could skied fast and comfortably.

Even in the early morning, there were many people at Riesen, Usagidaira, Kurobishi, Panorama and Skyline, but contrarily, there were few at Kita-one and Sakka. Nevertheless the Sakka Kita-one Quad started working from 7:30, there were only few people. By the way, at night, the night skiing costs free at Nakiyama from 22:00. From 22:50, Japanese sake will be treated and some countdown events will be held; fancy dress contest, a lottery and skyrockets!!
