The clouds hanging over the middle part of the ski area changed into the sea of clouds when I came on the mountain. I could see the peaks of Mt. Myoko, Mt. Hiuchi, Mt. Ototsuma and Mt. Takatsuma across it. It was colder than yesterday, but I didn’t feel cold thanks to the sunlight and weak wind.

The slopes of upper Usagidaira and Kurobishi were widely groomed and nicely firm. Today was a weekday, so the slopes were not crowded and I could enjoy skiing comfortably. 2 skiers from Matsumoto City, Nagano, said, “I check up your reports 5 times a day!”

After that, the fogs came with the south wind and the visibility got poor suddenly. In the south part of Usagidaira, the steep upper part was not groomed and the lower part was groomed. I saw people slowing down in the ungroomed area with the firm bumps.

Panorama Course was popular than the other courses because the visibility was better. Whole slope except the lower steep part was finely groomed and nicely firm. At around 10:00 a.m, it started snow slightly and the sunlight was blocked off completely.
