It has snowed in the upper area since yesterday, however, the amount of snow was 3cm in the lower area of Usagidaira and less than I expected. The north wind seems to have blown light snow away due to a too strong cold wave. There was about 15cm of snow in total and it was firm.

Three snowfall machines were working with roars in the starting area of Panorama Course.
Cold and new snow sometimes spread on the wind. The work finished by 8:20 and staff members were moving the machines.

Panorama Course is likely to open in first like last year when it opened on Dec. 8 (Thu). However, unfortunately, there is only 10 cm of snow around the third Kokusai Pair Lift. The artificial snowfall machine will be used tomorrow and the day after tomorrow too because it will continue to be cold for a while according to the weather forecast.

There was about 5cm of snow in the lower area of Panorama Course due to the rain yesterday. The weather improved and the sun cast when I interviewed, however, it has got cloudy again. It is snowing even in front of the JR Hakuba Station as of 13:00.
