17111601_happoJapan Meteorological Agency has called attention to the cold wave and snow from Nov. 16. Besides, it has announced the weather warning information of the strong cold wave during a week from Nov. 18. As the forecast, it was snowing heavily this morning and the dry snow was falling strongly in Usagidaira at 8:30 a.m.

17111602_happoThe amount of the snow was 15-20cm in the middle part of Usagidaira. Almost all of grass and bushes were covered with snow and it looked to be able to ski there (*Actually, skiing and snowboarding before the ski area’s opening are prohibited).

17111603_happoKurobishi had also 15cm fresh snow. Especially here, there were gaps of the snow amount from 10 to 25cm depending on the areas, because of the strong wind. The snow on the surface was dry, while the snow near the ground was a little damp.

17111604_happoUnder the thick snow clouds, the ski was covered with the snow entirely. The snow amounts were 10-15cm in Skyline Course, 10cm in Kitaone Course and 3-5cm in Sakka. Around JR Hakuba Station (697m), the first snow was falling.
