The weather turned into sunny from the rainy yesterday in the mountain foot. The good cold had come back and it brought 20cm fresh snow last night, even in lower March!! However, the lifts in the upper areas were suspending the operation because of the strong wind this morning.

Therefore, people moved to Risen Slalom and Panorama. The groomed slope of Riesen Slalom is facing the south east, so the snow was nicely melting already and we could ski comfortably there. The participants of “International Federation of Snowsport Instructors (IFSI)” held during Mar. 19－Mar 26 were showing their skillful riding.

In IFSI, demonstrations and workshop events are held. In Shirakaba, the slope was melting and soft. Besides, it remained flat because it was quiet in the morning, so I could go down easily. It was still blowing a strong wind in the bottom areas, but I did not feel cold.

In the early morning, Panorama Course was in fine condition thanks to the powdery snow. The nicely soft slope is very rare in March!! Because of the IVFI which has participants from totally 23 countries, I met many people from abroad, such as 2 people waving their hands from the lifts.
