The snow has been falling from the midnight on Mar. 6 (Mon). The amount of the snowfall is about 40cm in the side of Usagidaira. Alpen Quad was suspending the operation because of the safety check, so I skied into the ungroomed slope along the gondola. There was fluffy snow over my knees!!

Panorama Course was groomed and covered with 20cm fresh snow. The flat slope was nicely firm and I could ski with high speed, raising snow spray. A skier gave me the watchword, “I always enjoy your reports!” and then, went down in the heavy snow and fogs with a smile.

Central Course was a little firmer, but the slope was flat and in good powdery condition with 20cm fresh snow. Surprisingly, Shirakaba in the bottom area was also nice and I could enjoy good snow from the top to the base area.

A skier from Tokyo Pref. cheered me and said, “I always enjoy your reports! I bring snow whenever I come. Although I come to Happo every week, there were only 2 sunny days in this season.” By the way, Alpen Quad and lifts in the upper area were open at 9:30 a.m.
