Finally, the official snow amount has exceeded 300cm!! The most amount of snow in the last Winter was 250cm recorded on Feb. 10 to Feb. 11, so we have had good snowfall from January in this season. The clear sky spread out in the west and people came to Usagidaira one after another.

Usagidaira, Kurobishi and Riesen Grat were closed all day long yesterday, so over 50cm fresh snow remained as it was in the ungroomed areas. Alpen Quad was late for the opening because of the safety check and maintenance and open at 9:03 a.m, but many people were waiting for the lift.

After Alpen Quad was open, Usagidaira got crowded suddenly. The radiative cooling made the temperature very low, but it was not snowing last night and there was damp snow in the bottom, so the snow was a little heavy. However, our skis and snowboards did not go into snow deeply and we could ski there smoothly.

People from Hyogo Pref. said, “Today is the best!!” After that, I went to Panorama Course and Olympic Course Ⅱ. The groomed slopes were nicely firm and edges of my skis worked well. The sky got covered with thin clouds gradually as time passed.
