Happo-one / ◎260cm / Sunny2017.Feb.16
The best day for skiing with no clouds in the sky and no wind blowing. The beautiful corduroy pattern reflecting the morning sun is still kept on the slopes, such as the south of Usagidaira, Kurobishi No.2 Quad, Riesen, Panorama, Olympic Course Ⅱ, Central, Sakka and Nakiyama. There were some bumps on steep slopes along Kurobishi No.3 Pair, Riesen Grat and Kitaone.

After getting off a gondola, I heard the sound of dry snow crunching under my feet. Judging from the good weather yesterday, I thought the snow would be harder, but it was nicely firm and very easy to ski along the south of Usagidaira, except for some artificial snow. I was impressed to see experts making carving turns at high speed.
[Usagidaira]
I could enjoy making turns with such a nice feeling from the surface of snow, though I felt it was becoming harder as I was skiing down from Usagidaira to Shirakaba. There were a lot of people even in the early morning, but Shirakaba was not so busy and the groomed snow remained for a while.

“I will go to Sakka to teach people from abroad.”, said a ski instructor from Hakuba Happo-one Ski & Snowboard School. She is from Hakuba and said she used both Japanese and English in her daily life.
