Snow that started to fall last evening had increased in force until this morning. I went to non-compacted steep area along Kurobishi No.3 pair lifts, riding on Alpen quad which delayed for 15 minutes. Since there was about knee-deep, 40 cm of powder snow and it was chilly, I felt my skis were light.

There was hard mogul under fresh snow. So, I had a bottoming feeling and it was technically difficult to ski down. However, the people who skied in Happo are really advanced and I saw them skiing very well. People got off to a fast start, and there were already tracks after 30 minutes.

The area along the Kurobishi No.2 quad was well-compacted. It was flat and soft with about 15 cm of fresh powder snow. The wind was strong this morning, and my body temperature lowered when I was out. Since there was fog in addition to the heavy snow, my visibility was bad.

It was also windy and snowy in Skyline Course. There was over 30 cm of fresh snow at the non-compacted area, so I could enjoy powder snow even after skiing in Usagidaira and Kurobishi. The texture of snow in the lowest area like Sakka, Kokusai, Shirakaba was also good. I could enjoy turning on the compacted slope with powder snow.
