It was cloudy and there was almost no wind, so I felt comfortable this morning. People had been waiting in a line for Alpen Quad at 7:40 am because Riesen and Nagiyama were open for the early morning operation. As soon as Usagidaira Slope opened, people started to make tracks on the flat southern slope one after another.

The groomed run of Usagidaira was hard because snow was melted in the daytime and harden last night. Even advanced skiers were controlling their speeds. People started to ski down other courses in 30 minutes since the weekend in Happo starts early in the morning.

Panorama Course was well-groomed and softer than Usagidaira. I mean, it was “nicely firm” and good to ski down. It was crowded, however, only a few people skied on skiers’ right, so I enjoyed flat course for long time.

Two people from Saitama Pref. gave me the watchword, “We watch your reports every day.” Central Course was also firm. I used my skis’ edges and slowed down when I skied steep slope from the middle to the lower part. Shirakaba Slope was much firmer.
