Although the official announced temperature was -12 degrees in the upper areas, I felt much colder than it this morning. It was blowing a strong wind, so Alpen Quad suspended the operation temporarily. Panorama Course was groomed well and covered with 5cm fresh snow.

In Olympic Course Ⅱ, the half part on the skier’s right side was groomed and the other side was ungroomed. There was 15cm fluffy snow in the ungroomed area, but the slope was bumpy. I was impressed by the skillful turns of experts in spite of such a difficult condition.

The snow was still good even in the lower areas and the groomed slope of Sakka was nicely firm and flat with 3－5cm fresh snow. In these weekdays of January, I met many people from abroad and the ski area has had an atmosphere like foreign countries.

Shirakaba was groomed and nicely firm as well. It was as cold as the upper areas, but it hardly blew a wind there. After that, Alpen Quad, Grat Quad and Kurobishi No.2 Quad were open at around 9:00 a.m.
