The radiation-cooling phenomenon caused quite cold weather and it was -9 degrees at the upper part this morning. There was no wind and I felt pretty good. Though snow cannons worked around the beginning of the course, I didn’t see any bushes so I could enjoy skiing.

At Kurobishi, the snow was widely compacted, and it was good condition for getting used to or the beginners. At the end of the course, I saw points that the ground came out of the snow but it was not big matter for skiing.

Not only at Kurobishi, but also at the South part of the slope and Panorama, the snow was well compacted. When I did skating, the well-compacted snow made sounds. I comfortably felt the snow from the board and I could make turns many times.

In the early morning, Shirouma-Sanzan was so beautiful. The area along Alpen quad that the snow was not compacted had fresh snow like 2-3cm on a little undulation. The grounding was enough soft to try.
