Happo-one / 195cm / Cloudy2016.Apr.08

16040801_happoIt was raining heavily all day yesterday. The thick clouds were hanging over the mountains in this morning, but when I climbed up by Riesen Quad that was open 30 minutes earlier than usual, I went through the clouds. We could see Mt. Goryu, Mt. Kashimayarigatake and three mountains of Hakuba from Riesen Grat.
[ Riesen Grat ]
16040802_happoThe beautiful sea of clouds was on the east as well. People from Miyagi and Kanagawa Pref. gave me the watchword and said, “This is the first time to see you!” The groomed run of Riesen Grat was nicely firm and easy to ski.
[ Riesen Grat ]
16040803_happoIt was thickly foggy in Usagidaira, Kurobishi, Skyline and Panorama. In Riesen Slalom, the snow was raked up in some parts so we could still ski down to the bottom. The visibility got better in the lower part.
[ Riesen Slalom Course ]
16040804_happoThe snow still remained in Public Course of Nakiyama thanks to the artificial snow made in mid-winter. However, the amount of snow had decreased because of the rain and it seemed to be available just until this weekend, Apr. 10.
