We had heavy snow due to the typical winter pressure pattern, where high pressure lay to the wast and low pressure to the east. “We check your website regularly! We’ve made a good choice to come to Hakunori today! But unfortunately, we lost our GoPro while we were on the lift. We’re going to look for it. Too sad.”, three snowboarders from Hakuba Village said.
[Highway Course]
Fresh snow was about 15 cm deep on the groomed snow area, while about 30 cm deep on the non-groomed snow area of Highway Course (pictured in the first photo) and Kamoshika Course. Wakaguri Chuo Slope received about 10 cm of fresh snow on the wet groomed snow (pictured).

“I check your website regularly. I’m glad that I have a private lesson today.”, a student at Hakuba Norikura Onsen Kamoshika Snowboard School said (pictured left). Snow gradually became too rough to ski on Wakaguri Chuo Slope.

Wet snow was hard pack, blanketed with about 5 cm of fresh snow on Wakaguri Rinkan Course (pictured). My skis ran smoothly on the fresh snow on Wakaguri Rinkan Course, compared with on Wakaguri Chuo Slope. “We arrived yeseterday by car. We’re glad that we’ve had great weather and snow.”, three snowboarders coming from Osaka said.
