“Kid’s event”, which can be joined for free, is held on the third Saturday of each month, on the day before “Ski Children’s Day”! Treasure hunt is held in the area beside Snowdrop. Snacks were hidden as treasures in the snow or on the branches of trees. Children started looking for them as the signal was given.

Hot pork miso soup were distributed at specially prepared tent. It was full of ingredients, including pork, konjak, burdock and carrot. Having a cup of pork miso soup in the falling snow was amazing. The pork miso soup, which were prepared in a big pot, ran out in 15 min.

A test ride of snow mobile was the most popular. Children riding on the mobile were all smiling and parents were taking their photos. The test course is a return run between Kid’s Park and Hakunori Family Course. Only children can try, so some parents were jealous.

I saw families enjoying sleighs and tubes at Kid’s Park. Sleighs sometimes didn’t run well because the about 8cm of wet new snow that was falling from this morning. Next “Kid’s Event” will be held on March 17th(Sat)!
