Hakuba Norikura / ◎250cm / Snowy2017.Feb.21

17022101_hakunoriThe snow falling from yesterday got dry and it was still snowing heavily at around 11:00 a.m. While it blew a strong wind, we had the soft sunlight in the east sky sometimes. When I came to Expert Course, expecting the powdery snow, there was over 40cm fresh snow there!

17022102_hakunoriSome ski tracks were there, but fresh snow still remained. We could enjoy the fluffy feel of the snow when we skied into the ungroomed areas. Today was a weekday, so Expert and Snake Course were not busy, so the powdery snow was left even until the noon!

17022103_hakunoriThe skier’s right of Rabbit Course was groomed. Thanks to the good snow, the condition got much better and the slope was nicely soft. The ungroomed area on the skier’s left got bumpy already, but the snow was soft, so it did not matter for skiing.

17022104_hakunoriThe slope of Wakaguri Chuo was groomed along No.5 High Speed Pair and it was soft. However, I found some beginners were stuck in the deep snow in the ungroomed areas.
