There were still clouds in the west and snowflakes were whirling around in the wind. There was continuous snowfall from Feb.6 (Mon) to last evening, however, it stopped for the present. There were tracks made by Pisten on Satomi Chuo Slope in the morning. It was so nice to ski on the soft powder snow.

No.10 pair lifts started working earlier than usual, at 8:45 am. One after another advanced skiers were “skiing down without stopping and climbing up” again and again. On the Sky View slope, there was 10~20 cm of fresh snow which does not hide tracks that is made yesterday. Snow was light and I felt as if I had been floating.

Snow which fall in the afternoon is kept till next day because No.10 pair lifts work until 13:00 pm in weekday. Therefore, there is a chance of your enjoying powder snow at Sky View, even if there is no snowfall in the evening. This morning, there were only a few tracks on the slope, especially in the western area of the lifts. So I could enjoy soft powder snow!

The weather improved much more around 10:00 am. The sun began to shine, the temperature rose and the snow surface became wetter. Students of Momoyama Gakuin University (Osaka) were practicing snowboarding. They smiled and posed for pictures, like typical Kansai people who have a good sense of humor.
