Goryu & 47 / ◎285cm / Snowy & Cloudy2021.Jan.06

21010605_goryu47The snow was still keeping snowing lightly this morning. The store manager of Patagonia Hakuba (Man on left in photo) talked, “Hi, how are you? It seems to be getting quiet after New Year’s holidays in ski areas. Patagonia Hakuba will be open from today again after winter recess!” The slope of Toomi was groomed entirely and nicely firm.

[Toomi]

21010606_goryu47On the upper area around the summit station of Tele-cabin, we came over the low clouds, so there was soft sunlight there. However, it became foggy again as I skied down…. The temperature went down to -5 degrees in the upper areas, but we did not feel so cold because there were no winds.

[Upper Route 8]

21010607_goryu47The slopes of Panorama Course and upper Route 8 were also groomed well and soft nicely. Skiing with kicking away the fresh thin snow on the slope was a big pleasure. In Grand Prix Course (Photo), the nicely firm groomed slope had 1-2cm fresh snow and the off-piste area had about 5cm fresh snow on them.

[Grand Prix Course]

21010608_goryu47Whole slope of Powder Snow Course was also groomed and in good condition as it was firm moderately. The skier’s left side (Photo) had been groomed earlier, so the slope was already covered with 3-5cm fresh snow. The slope of Iimori No.6 Pair was also topped with thin light snow on the groomed slope.
