Goryu & 47 / ◎210cm / Snowy2020.Dec.26
It was snowing lightly in the village last night, but the upper part of ski areas had a heavy snowfall. Route 2 (Photo) was groomed flat and firm nicely with the 15cm fresh snow on it. I saw expert riders going down with a big spray of snow and shouts of joy one after another.
[Route 2]
The steep slope from Route 2 to the summit station of the gondola (Photo) and the ungroomed slope of Route 3 had over 30cm deep fresh snow! The groomed slopes of Route 5 and 6 were covered with 2cm fresh snow and nicely firm as well.
[Route 2]
Due to Iimori High Speed Pair No.1 started the operation, Merryland Course was open. Now, all of the slopes in Hakuba Goryu & Hakuba47 are open without Adventure Course. Merryland Course was groomed widely and nicely firm, so we could enjoy cruising there with kicking away the thin fresh snow.
[Merryland Course]
The lower part of Route 1 was firm and had 5cm fresh snow. Route 7 was groomed just before the open and nicely firm as well. From today, the New Year Holidays have started in Japan, so the ski areas got crowded with people from the early morning. As of 9:30 a.m, 80% of the east parking area of Hakuba47 was full and half of the west parking area was used already.
