Hakuba Goryu / ○200cm / Snowy2020.Mar.18
The powder snow was deep for this time of year!! It was relatively warm today, although it was cold in the morning until yesterday. We had lots of snow from last night till this morning in Alps Daira. The fresh snow was about 35 cm deep as of 6 a.m. and 45-50 cm deep as of 8:30 a.m. in the non-groomed area. I saw people skiing and snowboarding straight down in the soft fresh snow.

Many people headed towards the non-groomed area under Alps No.3 Pair Lift and Technical Course. Meanwhile, some people went under Alps No.2 and No.4 Pair Lift (pictured) as there were not many people. The groomed soft powder snow was covered with about 10 cm of light fresh snow in Grand Prix, Panorama and Dynamic Course, which was very nice.

Expert Course re-opened as we’ve got much snow! The fresh snow we had over the last four days was over 60 cm deep. However, it was difficult to go down the course as there were large bumps and the snow was wet and heavy.

“Hi, Snownavi! We always enjoy your reports. We’re glad that we’ve got this much snow here. We’ll go to another course next.”, three snowboarders from Tokyo said. It was warm and I got hot when I reached the bottom area.
