Goryu & 47 / ◎ 130cm / Snowy2020.Jan.15
The snow that had not fallen at the bottom was falling at a good momentum when I got off the gondola Line-8 while there was almost no wind. Route 5 (pictured) and route 6 with clean compacted snow were easy to slide on a well-burned barn with fresh snow about 1 cm.
[Route 5]
At the top of Route 1 where the snow was flat, there was about 1 cm of fresh snow on a moderately tight barn. The board ran and the edge chewed firmly, so I was able to ride comfortably at speed. The lower part of Route 1 became slightly tighter, but it was not hard and slippery.

Panorama course, upper part of Route 8 (pictured) is a slippery condition where fresh snow rides 1-2 cm on compact snow barn which is moderately tight. Similar conditions continued to the bottom of Route 8 and we were able to cruise comfortably.

Route 4 was also easy to slip with “moderately compacted snow + fresh snow 1-2cm”. From around 9 o’clock the snow grew stronger and it began to fall densely. By the way, “SECCA Snowboard Test Drive in Hakuba 47” (free of participation fee, 10:00 to 13:30) will be held at the Line-8 drop off this weekend on 1/18 (Sat). Also, on January 19 (Sun), there will be a “47 Treasure Hunting Tournament” (free entry, 11: 00-) at “Ski Children’s Day”.
