Goryu &47 / ○55cm / Sunny & Cloudy2019.Dec.23
Sleet fell at the mountain foot last evening, while snow fell at the upper area, influenced by the low-pressure area located off the south coast of Japan. It was cloudy in the early morning, however, it cleared and I could see the blue sky before the slope opened. I enjoyed picking up speed at Panorama Course, where the powder snow was compacted firm.
[Panorama Course]
The left side of Grand Prix Course was compacted, which was 10 – 15 meters wide. The upper area was flat, while the lower area was a bit rough. Anyway, powder snow was firm and nice.
[Grand Prix Course]
The non-compacted area of Alps Daira was covered with 10-cm of soft, fresh snow. I enjoyed the soft snow on the smooth slope under No.3 Pair Lift.(Please see the photo below.) Everyone was excited with the powder snow, although it was not much.
[Grand Prix Course]
The clouds hid the sun in the eastern sky around 9:30 a.m. Toomi Slope was crowded with beginners taking lessons. The compacted area was narrow and the snow was a bit loose, however, there was no bush and I enjoyed skiing down. There was about 2 cm of fresh snow beside the course.
