It was sunny yesterday but it turned rainy today. “We enjoy your reports. We were the first to arrive today for the first time. We don’t care about the weather and fully enjoy the first track!”, two snowboarders from Matsumoto City, Nagano, said.
[Route 7]
Three courses, Route 4, Route 8, and Panorama Course were compacted among the open 12 courses like yesterday. My skis ran smoothly at Route 4 (in the photo), which was flat and wet because of rain. Meanwhile, I found lots of bushes at Route 5 and 6, which were non-compacted and rough.
[Route 4]
It was rainy with the gentle southwesterly wind blowing at the top. Thin layer of snow was marked with poles at Panorama Course and I could enjoy sliding down with my new skis. I had fun gaining speeds on the wet firm slope.
[Panorama Course]
Many people arrived early and the slope got crowded around 9 a.m., although it was a rainy weekday. The upper compacted area of Route 8 was as wet and nice as Panorama Course, although the ground was exposed at the middle area on both skier’s right and left side.
