The sun peeked through the clouds this morning but it became bark and started snowing after 9 a.m.. There was a late turn out since it’s the last day of 3 days holiday. A family from Kanagawa said, “We enjoyed skiing in many places in HAKUBA VALLEY. Our children are gonna start Yon-nana ski school.”

The snow was groomed well in Panorama Course, the top of Route 8 and Route 2. It felt moderately firm and flat which is in good condition to make turns. At the bottom of Route 8, I skied fast because the snow was quite firm.

Tree Riding Zone (TRZ) has been open since Dec. 23. Some visitors wore special bibs in Route 3 this morning. The reception of TRZ is in the school that is next to kids slope in base area.

The snow in upper Route 1 was relatively hard and the snow in Route 4 was quite hard. However, many people went there as the ski slopes were open because they were groomed well. “We always enjoy your reports!” said two visitors and enjoyed jumping on kickers. Also, the snow at the bottom of Route 1 was tighter and better than I thought.
