It was very cold and blowing a chilly window sometimes this morning. In the ski resort, the snow is still kept in good condition. The slope of Ikenota was covered with the corduroy patterns and nicely firm. I could enjoy the comfortable feel of powdery snow during skiing.

The soft sunlight was cast in the early morning, but the clouds blocked off it often after 9:00 a.m. I met a snowboarding group from a university in Osaka. Both of Rabbit and Sneak courses were groomed well and firm.

There was about 5cm fresh snow on the off-piste slope. The bumps made until yesterday still remained, but the run was soft. Some people dropped off into the tree areas, but some hard parts were exposed after many people skied there, so those areas were in difficult condition.

By the way, “JAPAN FREERIDE OPEN 2018” will starts on this weekend, Feb. 10 (Sat). For keeping the course condition, the entrance to the tree area in the upper part of Warabi-daira is not allowed from today to Feb. 12 (Mon). Junior Event will be held on the first day and Adult Event on the second day.
