Cortina / ◎300cm / Sunny & Cloudy2018.Jan.14
The blue sky became visible and the sun appeared at around 8:30. There was about 40-50 cm and 30cm of new snow at the top and foot of the slope respectively, thanks to the heavy snow last night. There was a long line of people looking forward to powder snow at No.2 Quad Lift.
[Ikenota]
Ippon-matsu Course was groomed well and nicely soft. There were only few people this morning because many people headed for Wasabidaira Slope after getting off No.1 Pair or No.6 Pair Lift. I really enjoyed leaving my own tracks on the flat slope filled with corduroy pattern.
[Ippon-matsu Course]
People were enjoying powder riding with high speed at Tree Area and I heard people shouting with joy. There was about 40 cm of soft new snow at Itadaira Course, which was well-groomed. It was a weekend and area covered with powder snow was crowded. I saw a lot of tracks left on Mt. Hieda 1, 2, and 3 around 9:30.
[Tree Area]
The amount of new snow at Wasabidaira Slope, which is the lowest slope at Cortina, was about 30 cm. The snow was dry and very soft. Ikenota Slope was nicely firm and flat. Although there were lots of people, the slope was not so crowded since it was wide.
