It had turned into sleet around 6:00 and then it started to snow. Ikenota slope had groomed at intervals of three contacting cars from the skier’s right and 2cm fresh snow was on it. It was snowing and the sunlight slightly came at the same time, which was blinding.

Trees at the upper part of ski slope got frozen. Since it was on weekday, 3 people came from Hakuba still had time to consider which course they would go.

A man came from Nigata prefecture told me “I always enjoy your articles. It is exciting that the snow is better than I expected!” He had a sticker on his ski which was aimed to support for the restoration from the huge fire occurred in last December.

I felt like floating on Mt. Hieda Course No.1. 15cm fresh snow was on a bits of ground. It was hard to make turns at Rabbit Course since the snow was a bit wet and the ground was hard. By the time a few minutes past 10a.m., lots of people came, especially I found many families.
