The blue sky was seen soon after the open but covered by the clouds around 9:15 a.m. Ipponmatsu Course was groomed nicely firm with 5 cm fresh snow, fall from last night, and I could make turns easily.

At the summit of ski area frosted trees were grown-up from yesterday. A snowboarder from Azumino City, Nagano Pref. gave me the watchword, “I always enjoy your report” and ran into tree area.

No.4 Pair had a line of many international visitors. The first half of Mt. Hieda Course 1 had hard and rough run under 15 cm fresh snow. The experts were running down with cheers, while the intermediates and beginners were struggling.

The last half of Mt. Hieda Course 1 was groomed and covered with thin dry snow and I could ski comfortably. Itadaira Course was nicely firm and it was easy to make the long turns but only few people were skiing. Anyway, frosted trees were amazing this morning!
