The operation of No.6 Lift was delayed because of safety check and started at 8:50 a.m. The slope of Ipponmatsu was covered with thin fresh snow. The run under fresh snow got melting once in the warm daytime yesterday, so it was icy in this morning. But Itadaira Course was covered with fresh snow and I got on the No.4 Lift with expectations.

The view of frosted trees at the summit of ski area was amazing. No.4 Lift and No.5 Lift were closed for all day long yesterday, so it was not crowded for after snowfall. When I went to Itadaira…
[Mt. Hieda Rinkan Course]
There were 20 cm fresh snow! The snow amount was more than I was expected. Though the snow was bit heavy, the run under fresh snow was flat and I could enjoy the fluffy feeling. A skier gave me the watchword, “I always enjoy your report!” and skied down with big smile.
[Itadaira Course]
The snow was falling heavily soon after open but it was abated at around 10 a.m. The sun was shining sometimes and students on school trips were enjoying ski at the flat slope of Ikenota. North wind was blowing but the blue sky spread as time passed and I felt cold only in the early morning.
