The sun was shining in the early morning but the sky got darker at around 8 a.m. After that, the rain drops start to fall and it got heavier when the lifts start the operation. The slopes of Ikenota and Ipponmatsu started to got damp.

The snow was mixed with rain at the upper part of Ikenota. Though it was the bad weather Ikenota was crowded with beginners and people taking the lessons. These students from Osaka were enjoying skis and snowboards even in this weather.

The ratio of snow got increased as No.4 Pair Lift rose the elevation and it was hailing at the upper part of Mt. Hieda Rinkan Course. The run was groomed well and nicely firm so I could ski comfortably. The hard bumps were covered Mt. Hieda Course 1 and edges of skis were not working well so it was difficult condition.

The official temperature was high, -0.8 degree, at the upper part of ski area. But the strong wind was blowing at Mt. Hieda One, Mt. Hieda Course 2 & 3, so I felt very cold. According to the weather forecast chill will come back from tomorrow.
