Cortina / ◎360cm / Sunny2017.Feb.15

16021501_cortinaThe temperature remained low, but we had a good day for skiing with the blue sky!! In the early morning, Ipponmatsu Course was groomed well and covered with beautiful corduroy patterns. It was nicely firm, so I could make turns as I imagined.

16021502_cortinaIkenota was also widely groomed and in good condition as well as Ipponmatsu Course. I met people from Aichi Pref. and they said, “We have an ideal day for snowboarding!!” In spite of the low temperature, we felt much warm thanks to the sunlight.

16021503_cortinaThe groomed slope of Rabbit Course was also nicely firm. There was about 7cm snowfall from the last evening and the run was soft, so I found some people skiing into the ungroomed areas. Snake Course, a long gentle slope, was also in good condition.

16021504_cortinaAs today was a weekday, so corduroy patterns remained on the slopes for a long while. However, the ski area got crowded after groups of a school trip came. As might have been expected, Cortina, the northernmost ski area in HAKUBA VALLEY, has fine slopes of powdery snow.
