Tsugaike Gondola is known as the second longest gondola lift in Japan and it will take you to a 20 minute sky trip. The weather has been fine since July 17 (Sat) and we could see the great view of the Northern Alps from the gondola this morning. One of the best scenic spots is around the 26th pole (Photo).

The temperature is also keeping high after the rainy season finished, but it was 20 degrees at the nature park at 8:00 a.m. On the way from Mizubasho Marsh to Ukishima Marsh, I could find Hiougiayame, Kurumayuri, Benibanaichigo, Gozentachibana, Ohyoutanboku, Karamatsusou, Momijikaramatsu and other alpine plants.

Especially, this year is a great year of Watasuge in Mizubasho, Watasuge and Ukishima Marsh (Photo). However, one of the staff of the visitor center said, “Nikkokisuge is likely not to bloom well in a year when Watasuge is in good condition.” Around 10 to 20% of Nikkokisuge started to bloom in the nature park today.

In Snow Square, “Tsugaike Dinosaur Land” is open from July 18 (Sun) to Aug. 29 (Sun). There are 5 model dinosaurs including Tyrannosaurus which make a move or bark. You can take photos with them and play a three-choice quiz about dinosaurs. At the special shop, you can get models, 3D puzzles, dolls, fossils and others. A ticket will allow you to enter the park anytime in a day.
