I saw two girls and their father from Azumino city, Nagano, participating in the “Treasure Hunt” event. What the little girl had was a worksheet, “Early autumn in Tsugaike Nature Park”, which is available only in Tsugaike Ropeway Nature Park Station. You can find pictures and names of alpine plants of each season.

I found the fruits of Kurotsuribana when I was walking between Mizubasho Marsh and Watasuge Marsh. It’s a triangle fruit with round protrusions. Some of them were uncovered and I was able to see the red part inside (pictured). I was glad to see one of a few Kurotsuribana trees in the park.

There was terrible rain at midnight on Friday, September 11. However, clear blue sky spread in the early morning on Saturday, September 12. It was cloudy in Mizubasho Marsh around 8 am because clouds were gathering fast after the rain. After a while, the southerly wind blew the clouds away and the clear blue sky stretched out. I was able to see Hakuba Sanzan in Watasuge Marsh.

Grass completely turned yellow in the marshes. Iwashobu was almost red and Kuromamenoki and Maizuruso were bearing fruits. The red fruits of Gozen Tachibana (pictured), Takeshimaran, Okamenoki, and Akamono were beautiful along Rinkan Route.
