Tsugaike Nature Park / Sunny2018.Oct.18
The weather forecast was completely wrong and the blue sky spread. There was a cool breeze at Ropeway Sanroku Station, however, it wasn’t cold because of the strong sunshine. As I reached Tsugaike Nature Park, I exclaimed at the magnificent Hakuba Sanzan, which rose in front of me.

It was all white with frost in the shade of the boardwalk, while the frost was melting in the sunshine (in the photo).It was slippery and I walked carefully. There was only a small number of visitors in the early morning because it was a weekday and the weather forecast said it would be cloudy.

I walked further and further in the world with evergreen trees, the green creeping pine and the white Dakekanba, enjoying the serenity in the late autumn. As I looked back just before Mosen-ike pond, I could have a beautiful view of Mt. Takaduma and Mt. Otoduma, which were known for their trapezoidal shape.

More and more tourists, arrived around 10am. New boardwalk was paved and some parts were repaired between Mosen-ike Pond and Tenbo Marsh, which made them more accessible. Clouds appeared around 10:30am, covering the ridge of the Northern Alps.

Dakekanba trees reflected on the marsh looked great to take a photo. “We stayed Tsugaike Sanso last night to take pictures of this late autumn scenary. It’s great that we have a beautiful sunny day today!”, a couple from Nagoya, Aichi said. You can enjoy the autumn leaves in the lower area around Gondola Chukan Station.
