Tsugaike Nature Park / Sunny & Cloudy2018.Jul.30

18073001_tsugaikeTyphoon passed over the weekend after the sunny period that had lasted for 15 days since July 13 (Fri). After the storm, the clean blue sky spread this morning. People got into the first ropeway after one another and then about half of them headed for Tenguppara after getting off. I saw lots of pine cones on the tips of oshirabiso (hemlock tree) branches around there.

18073002_tsugaikeThe temperature was +16.5℃ at Tsugaike Nature Park as of 8:30 a.m.. It was much cooler than average today and the air was really crisp. Nikko-kisuge were getting out of bloom around Watasuge Marsh, Ukishima Marsh and Ginmeisui.

18073003_tsugaikeKuruma-yuri and Hiougi-ayame (arctic iris) were also out of bloom. I felt flowers had bloomed 10 days to 2 weeks earlier than usual. Meanwhile, I saw some pretty flowers for early summer, such as Kinugasaso and Miyama-kinpoge (shown in the photo), at some points where the snow had been left for a long time.

18073004_tsugaikeClouds appeared in a short time around 9:00 a.m. and they hung over the ridge of the Northern Alps. The sunlight was also blocked, suppressing temperature rise. Thus, I was able to enjoy the fresh air through the day.

18073005_tsugaikeIn addition to Momiji-karamatsu, which were already at their best, Karamatsuso (shown in the photo) were almost in full bloom further down Kusu-gawa river. The leaves were lushing green and the flowers were pretty. I saw a carpet of pink Hakusan-kozakura and white Iwakicho in front of Tenbo Marsh, which was snow valley before.
