Under calm and sunny weather, the air was cool and comfortable in the early morning. It was sunny as the forecast said and so in the first ropeway, I saw some people carrying large backpack who were heading toward Mt. Hakuba Norikura.

Mizubaho were at their best in Mizubasho Marsh. It became bonanza this year and there were few damaged Mizubasho, and a lot of white and beautiful ones were found. Many people were taking photos of their favorite Mizubasho.

Adding to Mizubasho, the fresh Ryukina were also blooming at where snow thawed fast. There were many buds of Mizubasho and some of them were started to bloom in where snow thawed late and I thought the peak season will be continue for another week.

Snow in the park was melted rapidly from previous report (6 days ago). But I must walk on snow from Mizubasho Marsh to Watasuge Marsh and Watasuge Marsh to Ukishima Marsh, so waterproofed shoes were required. And also, the snow on the boardwalk of circuit route of Ukishima Marsh remained little.

The trees of Tsugaike Kogen became greener and I felt the summer is just around the corner. By the way, Tsugaike Panorama Way will starts the early-morning operation as follows: On weekends of June 16 (Sat)–July 8 (Sun) and Aug. 18 (Sat)–Sep. 9 (Sun) open at 7:30 a.m., on weekends & holidays of July 14 (Sat)–Aug. 12 (Sun) open at 6:30 a.m., on weekdays of July 17 (Tue)–Aug. 17 (Fri) and on weekends & holidays of Sep. 15 (Sat)–Oct. 14 (Sun) open at 7:00 a.m..
