Tsugaike Nature Park / Sunny2017.Oct.28
On Oct. 27 (Fri), we had an ideal day for trekking, so I went to Mt. Hakuba Norikura from the summit station of Tsugaike Ropeway. On the trail to Tenguppara, there were 7-8cm snowfall and ices. The wooden paths in Tenguppara were renovated and maintained and there was no snow on the paths, so I could walk comfortably.

The amount of the snow by the wooden path was about 20-25cm. When I got to the east face of Mt. Hakuba Norikura, the trail was covered with snow. There were traces there, so I carefully walk on them. On my back, I could see the white peaks of Mt. Myoko and Mt. Hiuchi.

The snow-capped mountains of Northern Alps also made a impressive contrast with the blue sky. In the upper part of the steep trail, there was over 30 cm snowfall. By the way, we need to walk carefully from the entrance of trail to Tenguppara, because we often loose our way there in winter.

As I climbed up to higher part, the amount of snow increase gradually. At the deepest part, the depth was 70 cm!! The feel of snow made me excited greatly.]

When I got to the ridge, the shining white landscape spread out under the clear sky. I tried to go to Hakuba Oike Big Pond, however, I do not have snow shoes, so I gave up here. The strong sun made snow melted as time passed.
